Cinnamon and Ginger-Root Tea Time!

Gadgets and cooking needs: Pot for boiling, Something to pound on the Cinnamon sticks or a smasher, and a sifter for the tea
Serves two
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 or 1/4 a Ginger root-sliced into rounds
  • Cinnamon Sticks- 4/5
  • Honey- 3-4  tablespoons
  • Water 2 1/2 Cups
  • Lemon-1/8 lemon juice
 Instructions: Bring a pot of water to boil on Medium High, then add the ginger, Lemon juice squeeze, vanilla and cinnamon sticks together. After about 5 minutes take out the cinnamon sticks and pound them flat, as well as cut them in half to get the most out of them and put them back in. Leave to simmer on Medium for another 10 minutes; 15 minutes in total. If you want the flavor stronger add more ginger. Sift (removing extra Ingredients out)  in a tea pot and serve with honey instead of granulated sugar.

I really love to use it in Asian dishes and as a tea to help me with trouble sleeping, also great for cleansing my system, stomach aches, cold or flu symptoms and more.
