Smoked Ham and Cheese Salad with Chipotle Dressing


Ingredients:  Makes one Salad meal
  • Romain Lettuce washed and chopped - as many leaves as you like, 8 usually serves for one full meal
  • MarketPlace Dressing 6-8 tablespoons for one meal- Chipotle or Sweet Onion will compliment this dish very well 
  • Kentucky Roasted Ham diced - Smoked Flavor 
  • Grated Cheese, 3/4 cup - I used reduced fat cheddar 
  • Gluten Free Bread for Croutons - I used two slices
  • Garlic Powder for Croutons
  • Butter for Garlic Bread Croutons
Croutons: Toast the Bread and add butter and Garlic powder immediately after and then cut into little croutons 

Salad: Prepare the food as shown on ingredients and combine together then toss with the dressing of your choice. Serve with Croutons.

Smoked Ham and cheddar cheese Salad with Chipotle Dressing

Surprisingly you will find that lean pork is on our Metabolic Foods List (bottom of January wall posts) mainly because it is difficult to digest and so your body burns extra calories and increases your metabolism in doing so. I went further and incorporated, some leafy greens and onion filled dressing for that extra dose of healthy. You may switch to a Sweet Onion dressing from Marketplace, and change the cheese as well to Mozzarella are both on the list as well as opposed to cheddar which is not.
