Savory Ginger Terriaki Salmon with Vegetables

Make this a Sunday selection for the entire family

Gadgets and cooking needs: Boiling pot for vegetables, frying or saute pan for Salmon, cooking utensils

Ingredients: New product alert: Simply Asia seasonings has a Sweet and Smokey Hibachi Seasoning you may add on almost any Asian meat dish
  • Onions, white or red sliced or diced
  • 1 Red pepper sliced or diced
  • Kikkoman Teriyaki Ginger flavoring 1 cup
  • Salmon one per person (glaze and marinated in Kikkoman Sauce for at least one hour)
  • Baby carrots washed and peeled with a potato peeler if necessary
  •  Olive oil or "I can't believe it's not butter" 3tbs per salmon
  •
Directions: Bring the Water in the pot to boil for the vegetables and start boiling the carrots
meanwhile while your sauté pan is heating up on medium low as well with the Olive Oil or butter

Whether or not you have time to marinate the Salmon, simply begin cooking it once the oil is hot on medium low for 10 minutes on each side or until it is a golden tone on the outside and thoroughly cooked on the inside. Add  peppers, onions, and the vegetables without the water into the sauté pan and cook until the onions seem crispy but not burnt (about 2 minutes), then add the Teriyaki Sauce with Ginger seasoning, and stir the vegetables, stirring around the salmon (preferably on one side of the pan), and careful to not break it apart. Once the teriyaki sauce is completely hot and married with the meal you are ready to serve it.

Ginger Terriaki Salmon with Vegetables

For those that are not really into seafood, or are experienced cooking it, Salmon is my choice for a light fish flavor that is not overwhelming and that can be very versatile with flavoring. Fillet of Sole is also great, but we will focus on Salmon for this Ginger Teriyaki Salmon with Vegetables (Red peppers, Baby carrots and Onions) served with white rice. Kikkoman oriental Sauces come in a variety of flavors and even offer a Ginger Teriyaki which I used for this recipe to make it easier for you. This dish is so easy to make it is great for lunch or dinner at any time of the year.
