Smoked Ham and Cheddar Salad with Balsamic Vinagrette


Lean Ham is considered to be a metabolic food! 

Gadgets and kitchen needs: Salad Bowl for mixing, tossing spoons, cutting knife or kitchen scissors, cutting board, tablespoon, cheese grater, potato cutter or small cutting knife
 
Ingredients: Makes one salad for a main meal
  • Main: 4 slices of thin cuts Smoked Ham - I used Boars Head Cold Cuts brand
  • 6 leaves Choose your own lettuce - I prefer Romain Lettuce for its texture, wash and rinse
  • 4-6 Baby Carrots- Thinly sliced with a potato cutter or knife
  • 4-6 tablespoons Balsamic Dressing - I prefer Kens steakhouse Balsamic Light dressing
  • Choose your own Croutons- 1/4 cup or one small hand full
  • 1/4 cup or 6 slices of  Reduced Fat Cheddar Cheese - already grated or grate
  • Medium sized Tomatoes, Washed and sliced into 4-5 slices
Easy Method:
Simply prepare all of the ingredients as described in the Ingredients list. Add all of the Ingredients together in a mixing bowl and toss.


 
 

 
 
  
Reinvent your Salad beyond the lettuce and tomatoes, and don't be afraid to experiment with your favorite ingredients. These salads I share with you have become one of my favorite metabolic meals because it just goes down right every time, and it is so easy, with very little fuss. Salad is wonderful to have any time of the year, and if all of a sudden your out of electricity, no problem, no cooking for a cold salad.
