Spicy Hot "Gourmet" Turkey Burgers

Gadgets and cooking needs: Spatula Frying Pan & Oven
Ingredients:
  • Turkey Burgers - 1per serving  is very filling especially with the greens
  • Lettuce- I love Romaine I would add at least three to four leaves depending on my cravings
  • Onions- your choice of white or red, sliced thin about 1/2 a round or one depending on your taste
  • Weber Burger seasoning- I used "Gourmet Burger", it has everything I need
  • Hot Spice or sauce(optional)- I used 1tsp. (1/2 tsp for each burger side) Hot ground Pepper, but Cayenne or you favorite hot sauce works too
  • Bread- If finding a gluten free Burger bun is impossible try a Gluten free Slice from a Loaf
  • Olive Oil- 1 teaspoon is just enough so that the burger doesn't stick to the pan
  • Mayonnaise- I enjoy using Hellman's Light
  • Mozzarella cheese- this particular cheese is on my metabolic foods list, cut one slice
  • Tomatoes (optional)- 2 slices
Directions: If making it with "Oven fries start that up 1st as it would take 20 min. in total
Turkey Burger:
Heat up the pan with the olive oil on Medium High, and season the meat with the "Gourmet Burger" seasoning with the spicy seasoning on top(almost any seasoning that is Burger Specific from Weber would match with a  Spicy Hot flavoring.) If you find a seasoning specified for Burgers that is Spicy Hot already, then even better.
Test the oil with a piece of onion and when it cooks gradually then you ready.
Add the Burger and cook it until both sides are a nice dark golden brown, about 10 min. turning it in between. Add the cheese on top in the last 3min. to melt it some/or you can choose to put it in the oven if it is already on after it is done.  Meanwhile toast the bread, Cut the onions, wash the lettuce and put aside.
On both of the toasted breads spread some of the Mayonnaise, add the onions and lettuce(tomatoes if you wish) on the bottom part, layering the burger last so that it does not slip and slide as you are eating it; topping it with the last bun, and you are ready to serve! Eat with your favorite side, such as a salad or "Oven-fries", pickles are always good too!

Spicy hot "Gourmet" Turkey Burgers

So, what do you eat whenever others are in the mood for a Double Quarter Pounder with cheese but don't want to feel guilty after? A healthy and tasty Turkey burger is in my opinion the most underrated Burger around. (Nutritional Facts about it on the packages) 65 percent less fat than regular beef. I don't have a brand preference, but I do notice that some are thinner than others; please make sure you cook it thuroughly. Great for any time of the year, but especially great over a wood or coal grill during the summer time.

Add some spice to make it Hot or Mild, and you automatically start your metabolism on High Fat Burning mode which is the entire point of all of these recipes I am sharing with you. Not to mention the onions and lettuce make a well proportioned meal of fast carbohydrates, and slow carbohydrates. I Always Bake my fries- "Oven-fries" and add Mozzorrela Cheese to boost up the engines. Yay!
